Hi there, I’m Mechelle Foster, and I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m the author of two poetry books for children, Jelly for Breakfast and Pages of Sunbeams, each filled with singable rhymes and simple stories that celebrate faith, laughter, and the wonder of childhood. My hope is to create books that make children smile and remind families of the joy found in God’s everyday blessings.

My Journey
My love for children began early. I started working at a preschool at age 16 and never stopped finding joy in teaching, storytelling, and ministry. I married a children’s pastor when I was 19, and for nearly two decades, I served alongside him in our local church: leading, teaching, and sharing the gospel with kids and families.
Today, I serve as an Executive Pastor while continuing my passion for writing and speaking. Whether I’m visiting a classroom, leading a workshop, or sharing a devotional online, my heart remains the same: to help others discover joy, hope, and purpose through faith.

My Mission
We live in a world where children’s literature often focuses on themes that distract from truth. My mission is to create stories that nurture hearts and spark curiosity in ways that honor God. I believe words have the power to shape a child’s heart, to teach kindness, gratitude, and joy.
